The Maroondah Exchange

Helping you get more out of where you live.

There is more happening around Maroondah than most people realise. The tricky part is knowing where to look.

The Maroondah Exchange brings local events, community updates, places to visit and useful local finds into one calm, easy-to-use place.

If you have ever found yourself on a Friday afternoon wondering what to do this weekend, you are in the right place.

Find something local worth knowing about.

Most people hear about the big things. MX is here for the smaller things too — the local events, good cafés, community groups, useful updates and places you might otherwise miss.

A lot of good local information still travels by word of mouth. Someone mentions a market at school pickup. A neighbour knows about a new walking group. A café quietly starts doing something interesting.

The idea behind MX is simple: gather those useful local finds in one place so more people can discover them.

For Event Organisers

Running something locals should know about?

Whether it is a market, fundraiser, school activity, workshop, sporting event, performance or community gathering, MX can help more locals find it.

I may have already added a basic listing for your event if I found it publicly. That helps people discover it, but the best listings usually come directly from the organiser.

If you submit it yourself, you can include better details, images, links and the little things people need before they decide to come along.

List your event for free.

Event listings are free because the more people know about what is happening locally, the stronger the community becomes.

Community Tips

Help shape what MX becomes.

Some of the best local information never makes it onto a website. It sits in group chats, school newsletters, café conversations and quick chats with neighbours.
